Updated: Apr 30, 2019

Mental health benefits...

Studies analysing the benefits of outdoor educational adventures report significantly improved well being, emotional functioning, increased life satisfaction, happiness, mindfulness, self-esteem, self-efficacy, a sense of mastery and specifically in group activities an increase in social connectedness. Not only this but the level of perceived stress can also drop. These results bolster our advice of outdoor activities especially in nature, possibly planning a new adventure or learning and developing skills. Whether its exercise classes in a park, walking, trail running, tree climbing, mountain biking, finding those special places to paint stunning views or discovering flowers, herbs or mushrooms; there are so many ways to enjoy the outdoors and start a new pursuit of health and discovery, call a friend and make a plan today :-)
